All meetings and or hearings of the Value Adjustment Board (VAB) are held in the County Commission Chambers located in the North Wing of the Bradford County Courthouse, 945 N. Temple Avenue, Starke, Florida.
- Organizational Meeting: Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 9:30 a.m.
During the organization meeting, the value adjustment board will review and decide on hearing and evidence deadline dates, the petition filing fee, and whether or not to allow electronic appearances at hearings.
Below is a tentative schedule and tentative filing fee, based on historical practice. The information below will be updated after the organizational meeting.
- Tentative Deadline to File Petitions: Friday, September 11, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
- Petitions may be filed via U.S. postal mail or in-person, along with the required $50.00 filing fee.
- Petitions must be received by the filing deadline. The filing date is the date the petition is
received by the VAB clerk.
- Tentative Evidence Deadline: Thursday, September 24, 2026 before the close of business at 5:00 p.m.
- Tentative Hearings: Friday, October 9, 2026 at 9:30 a.m.
- Reschedule for Good Cause: A petitioner and the Property Appraiser can each reschedule a
VAB hearing a single time for good cause. Good cause is a circumstance beyond control of the
person seeking to reschedule the hearing that reasonably prevents the party from having adequate
representation at the hearing. The VAB Clerk and/or the VAB Attorney shall make the good
cause determination. If the hearing is rescheduled, the VAB Clerk shall notify the parties 15 days
before the rescheduled hearing is held, unless this notice is waived by both parties, per F.S.
194.032(2).
