Welcome to DuProcess, a state-of-the art jury management system utilized by the Bradford County Clerk of Court and Comptroller that facilitates our county’s jury process. DuProcess improves the public service experience for jurors, streamlines the selection process, and simplifies common court procedures. As a juror, you can request an excusal, check jury status, and/or register to receive text and/or email alerts through the DuProcess portal at jury.bradfordclerk.com.
Clerk Denny Thompson appreciates your willingness to be considered for jury service, a very important civic duty we all share. Your service upholds the U.S. Constitution, which ensures that the justice system remains in the hands of the people to preserve our democracy and to ensure that each citizens receives a fair trial.
Please be aware that our office will never ask for payment of any kind due to missed jury duty. If you receive a request like this, know that it is a scam. If you have provided payment as a result of a request such as this, please contact the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office to report the incident.
JURY SELECTION
Prospective jurors are randomly selected from the Florida Department of Highway and Safety Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) list of driver’s license and identification card holders in Bradford County. The technology that randomly chooses jurors must be approved by the Florida Supreme Court to guarantee that the selection is truly random. Jurors must be U.S. citizens at least 18 years of age, legal residents of Bradford County, and possess a driver’s license or identification card issued by the DHSMV.
Per Florida Statute 40.271- Jury Service, no person summoned to serve on any grand jury or petit jury in this state or accepted to serve on any grand jury or petit jury in this state, shall be dismissed from employment for any cause because of the nature or length of service upon such jury.
REPORTING
If you have been summoned for jury duty, please register through DuProcess [jury.bradfordclerk.com] for reporting instructions. You may also call 1-800-568-6826 anytime during the day before you report, even if this is a Saturday or holiday, to be informed by a recorded message whether your service will be required. If you receive no message or the telephone recording is not in operation, please report for jury duty as directed by your printed summons.
LENGTH OF SERVICE
Your first day of service is normally limited to jury selection. All juries for trial scheduled during the week are selected on the first day of service, and you will be instructed when to return for trial.
ATTIRE
Please dress professionally. Do not wear shorts, tank tops, or flip flops. Consider bringing a jacket or sweater due to courtroom temperature variations.
AMERICAN DISABILITIES ACT (ADA)
If you are a person with a disability who needs any accommodation in order to participate in a court proceeding, you are entitled, at no cost to you, to the provision of certain assistance. To request such accommodation, please contact the Bradford County Clerk’s Office at (904) 966-6280 at least three business days prior to the required service; if you are hearing or voice impaired, call 1-800-955-8771.
EXCUSALS
Please register through DuProcess [jury.bradfordclerk.com] to request an excusal from jury service. You may also complete the Juror Excusal form on section 2 of your jury summons. If you need additional information or have an emergency situation that will prevent you from jury service, contact our office.
PAYMENT FOR JURY SERVICE
You are entitled to a $15.00 per day payment if you are:
· Regularly employed and your employer does not pay your wages while you’re on jury duty
· Not employed
· Self employed
· Retired
If you are selected for a trial that is longer than three days, you will be paid $30.00 per day for the 4th day and for each day thereafter, regardless of your employer’s compensation policy.
Jurors eligible for payment will receive a Mastercard through CourtFunds, during jury check-in. Payment for services will be loaded onto your card after the trial period ends – usually within a week after service. Payment for grand jury duty services will be paid after each service; you must retain your card for reloaded funds.
You will also have the opportunity to donate your pay to one of the following charities by registering online at www.courtfunds.com.

PARKING
Jury parking is provided in the parking lot surrounding the courthouse.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
No weapons, including pocketknives, scissors, or other sharp instruments are permitted in the courthouse.
Pursuant to Florida Rule 2.451(b)(1), all electronic devices (cell phones, laptops, etc.) are required to be removed from members of the jury panel during deliberations and may be removed earlier as directed by the presiding judge.
